So Much To Say

...and so little time, or that's how it feels, anyways. We're busier than ever and blogging has not been on my list of priorities. What has? Well, getting the kids started at school was number one, and now that's out of the way, I'm focusing my efforts on getting this house sold. Why, you ask? Well, we're ready for a change...a big change. We've always wanted more outdoor space with more privacy, a pool, more storage, and the opportunity to design/build/remodel the house of our dreams. We figure now is as good a time as any, so why the heck not? It's going to take patience and time, something I have neither of, so maybe a little luck wouldn't hurt either.

Other big news: Conner started kindergarten. Conner lost his first tooth! Finn started his very first day of Mother's Day Out ! Avery is growing up more and more every single day. We look at her every day and wonder at her beauty, sense of humor, and her maturity.

So, seeing as how we do have a lot going on, I'll try to make blogging more of a priority to keep y'all updated. I know you've been asking for it, so here's my restart. It's just going to be mumbled jumbled for now, so bear with me.

Family Park Day

We were supposed to be going to the Arboretum last weekend for Dallas Blooms, but my car had a seatbelt malfunction and Brian was terrified of the crowd, so we ended up changing plans and headed to a beautiful park in Richardson for a fun afternoon with Kate-Kate. It was a very cool place with waterfalls, green grass, bridges, snakes, turtles, and other wildlife. We ended up having a great time and I think the kids' grandmother enjoyed spending some time with the kids...even if we did have a rough start.

Go Monsters!

Conner had his first soccer game today. He had a blast and did great, considering it was his first game. Once he gains more confidence, he'll be a great player. He ran the field with a smile on his face the whole time. Finn, Avery, and myself were still recovering from the stomach flu, but were there to cheer him on, as were Daddy and Uncle Phillip.

New Photo Studio

Well, we had a nice Valentine's Day weekend. We didn't do much, but today Brian helped to build me a backdrop screen so I can have a collapsable home studio to practice. Today, Avery was thrilled to model for me. Finn did fairly well, too. Enjoy!

It's Been a Long Long Time...

But, I figured I'd post, anyways. While there is no way I'll get this thing caught up, maybe by posting a little today, I'll get back on track.

Things are just getting busier and busier around here. Finn is all toddler these days, walking, talking, throwing temper tantrums, and trying to keep up with his older siblings. Conner is turning into this big kid more and more every day. And Avery is, well, Avery. She's keeping us laughing and screaming all in the same breath.

I've started taking my photography classes at the local college. I am learning so much about the technical stuff than I ever even knew there was to learn. I have plans for more classes, as well as a possible apprenticeship for one of my favorite photographers. I think I can make a "go" of this, but I want to learn more. I don't want to be just a mom with an expensive camera. I really have a passion for this, so I figured I'd rather take my time and do it right.

Anyways, I've mainly been doing shoots for friends, but I've gotten some good ones of our kids, too. This is just one I happened to take today. Conner is proving to be my best model. I don't know if it's that he takes direction better, has more patience, or if it's just those blue eyes!

FINN'S FIRST HAIRCUT

We went to see Uncle Todd today for Finn's first haircut. Daddy and Conner had their ears lowered, too. Even Pop showed up for the occasion. Finn was great...he sat still and came out looking handsome and so grown up. No more curls : (
